Present Day, New Delhi

Life wasn’t much smooth for him. Successive failures turned him into a freaky unbalanced creature. He decided to quit. The Plan was set. It was going to end.

The Mental trauma broke him into two halves. Doctors called it Dissociative Personality Disorder. Rudra Pratap Singh was splitting into two parts Rudra and Pratap.

“Should I write a suicide note?” Rudra asked.

“No need of Formalities. Just keep it simple.” Pratap Replied.

“Will it be Painful?” Rudra was a bit frightened.

“Not at all. The Plan is all set. The Yamuna River will make it more divine. You are going to take a final leap in it.” Pratap was much braver than Rudra.

Both of his Personality combined and Rudra Pratap Singh googled “Directions to Wazirabad Bridge, New Delhi”

Google replied “5.4 kilometers. 1.5 hours walking distance.”

“Wazirabad Bridge is one of the most infamous Suicide Spots of India. More than 1000 suicide attempts are reported so far. Mother Yamuna River engulfs her Depressed and Rejected Kids.”

He decided to take a final walk. It will take almost two hours to reach there. He started walking as Google directed him “Turn Left after 800 meters”.

He was moving ahead to his Final Destination. The weather was very comforting. He was enjoying the Night walk. A cold breeze soothed him.

But a few minutes later He felt a bit of uneasiness in his pocket. His Phone was vibrating. Someone was calling him.

An unknown number flashed on the screen. He swiped the screen to the right side and picked the call.

“Hello. I dialed a random number, and you have to convince me.” A clear voice came from the other side.

“I am in the middle of something. Don’t Disturb. Whoever you are, I don’t care” He replied harshly.

“Let me introduce myself. I am Pranay Singh. Right Now I am standing on the Wazirabad Bridge, all set for suicide. I dialed a random number before ending my life. And you have five minutes to convince me.

Five minutes to stop me from commiting suicide.” A strange reply came.

“Do you know me? Who are you. I never told anyone about this. Is this a Prank Call?” He was in shock.

“Four minutes left and I am not convinced. Come on, You can save my life” The caller said.

“Hey! Stop and Listen to me. Suicide is not the solution. Life is beautiful. Tough times never lasts, but tough people lasts till the end. Be a Tough Man and step back.” He made an attempt to convince him.

“My ears are open. Go on. Change my mind.” The voice came from the Phone.

“Suicide doesn’t end the chances of life getting worse, it eliminates the possibility of it ever getting any better. Place your hand over your heart, can you feel it? That is called purpose. You’re alive for a reason so don’t ever give up.” He tried a few uplifting quotes.

“Okay. I got it. I am stepping back.” And the conversation ended abruptly.

He tried calling again. The response came to his surprise “The number you are trying to call doesn’t exist”.
He clicked on Automatic Call Recorder to check the last recording. There was only his voice and He was convincing himself.

He stepped back and decided to move on. But Who called him? Who was he? Who made him change his mind?

He still remembered the name and googled “Pranay Singh, Wazirabad Bridge”

An Old News Pop Up opened

“Once again a suicide is reported on Wazirabad Bridge. The identity card shows “Pranay Singh”. Reports say that He always wanted to open an Anti-Depression NGO, but failed due to lack of funds.

Government should ensure 24 hour Police Support on the bridge.”
